Our Location
The Sunshine Coast is located about an hours drive north of Brisbane on the east coast of Australia. It stretches from Caloundra in the south to Noosa in the north with a population of almost 250,000. In the heart of the Sunshine Coast is Maroochydore, the commercial and business centre of the region.
While the DTS is located in Maroochydore, the base is planting ministry centres all along the coast in an effort to strategically minister to the entire region. View the area on Google Maps »
What does the base look like?
All of our accomodation is within a few minutes walk of the surf!
The Climate
Average sunshine daily is seven hours (one of the highest ratings in the world).
Summer temps (December to February) are about 17-28 degrees, with the highs normally tempered by cooling sea breezes.Winter (June to August) ranges around 7-28 degrees, and is usually mild and sunny. So as you can see the weather is near perfect year round.
The sea temperatures range from 26 degrees in summer to 19 degrees in winter so all year round swimming and surfing is no problem.
